{Skate (b)log} SCDD Day and getting teamed.

DID YOU MISS MY DERBY NEWS?! I was recently teamed to Steel City Derby Demons’ B-Unit.

But probably MORE (OK, equally) awesome, is that yesterday the City of Pittsburgh declared it to be Steel City Derby Demons Day. I got to sit in city council meeting, shake hands with Bill Peduto and take pictures with a few of my fellow leaguemates commingling with city council members… and attempt to remember the Pledge of Allegiance.

I’m obviously super excited about being on a team now (and crossing my fingers that I will make roster for the last bout of the season). Friends, I have $10 advance tickets… get in touch, if you need one. Regardless, see you on October 15 — when Steel Hurtin’ takes on San Diego B.A.D., and B-Unit rips some faces off of those Rubber City Roller Girls (Akron).
