ESPN is airing the Sta-Bil Finals (which in regular-guy terms is the racing of lawnmowers). I don’t know what’s funnier: the fact that it’s actually being aired on a network, or the fact that their broadcaster called them “Racing Machines.”
In other sports’ news, Kyle Denney shot in the calf.
Why isn’t the media making a bigger deal of this? The TEAM BUS was shot at while in transit to the airport, people! Hottie Rookie was shot in the leg! I honestly thought it was a joke when I read the article in my email this morning (seemed to make more reference to the fact he was wearing a cheerleading costume for hazing rituals). I kept waiting for the punch line. Plain Dealer made no mention of the incident. Then I watch Sportscenter… what a way to end the season.
Why does this really matter to me? Kyle is Okie.
I sent him “sorry you were shot” flowers.
