Of COURSE my weekend started on Thursday with a short visit to D’Vine (not packed), then over to Mercury (decent), then of course, continuing on to Liquid. The night ended up being interesting… We met some new friends on the street (and no, they weren’t bums).
Friday was Girls’ Night Out. We had to celebrate with some trouble at Mercury for pre-drinks, then out to Tramp for dancing. We saw the fliers for the Britney appearance after the show, and I need to see if I can still get tickets for the concert, then ANOTHER $20 just to get into Tramp that night! Yikes! Call me up, Britney… We’ll get trashed and do it Cleveland-style. (whatever-that-means).
Saturday I set up shop in Peabody’s for the Julian Marley show for another date night with Zoolander. If you don’t know what/who that is: Bob Marley’s son, and an awesome reggae artist. He played most of his own stuff, but threw in a couple of Dad’s (and my) favorites. I love when you can find a great live show like that with an even better crowd.
Question of the night: How much do they pay the guy on stage for waving a flag all night long?
And of course, nothing finishes up a weekend like a Sunday brunch at Waterstreet Grille. I’ve gotta have my mimosa in the morning! The guy and I have settled into this new tradition of pancakes and paper at brunch. It sounds very Golden Anniversary-ish.
