Weekend Wrap-Up

This weekend, my beau “Zoolander” and I took a short get-away to Peek’n Peak for the end of ski season. Zoolander took me to his workplace holiday party recently, and I won the trip, ultimately from a double-down hand at Blackjack. The prizes were really ticket raffles, being that you won tickets instead of money, but this was my winner. Did I mention how I always win the raffle prizes? People hate me at candle/sex-toy/Tupperware parties.

My all-inclusive vacation included two nights stay in the creepy, haunted lodge, rentals and lift passes for me and my snazzy guest. The weather was perfect —still cold enough for snow, but warm enough to ski without a jacket if you wanted. This was my first time in New York for skiing.  Ironically, we ran into some Cleveland folks in the ski lodge on Saturday night. Just when you thought you saw the same people EVERY weekend out… they follow you!  One downside of the weekend was when someone walked away with my RENTAL skis? WTF? Luckily, the ski people were cool about it, and I didn’t have to purchase a pair of invisible Rossingnols. Also included was a Sunday Champagne Brunch. While I dodged the shellfish table, everything else was fantastic. I could certainly eat like this every Sunday. Pie for breakfast — uh, yes?
