I found some new gems this past weekend for hangout purposes. I also learned how to parallel-park my
SUV (TWICE!), and realized that road lines don’t mean anything!
Friday night was a trip out to Rocky River Brewing Company. Although I was not too happy with the ambiance of the place, I have to go back and get those mini cheeseburgers. Also, I was disappointed at the two different beers that I tried. Then it was on to my friendly neighborhood bar, the Kenilworth. After a brief drink stop, the craving for nachos crept up out of nowhere, so we went downtown to the Winking Lizard. (Why not the location in Lakewood, who knows). They stopped serving my favorite Sam Adams Cherry Wheat, and being beer-retarded, I drank another Bud Light. Seemingly in the Gateway District for the night, we also visited the Boneyard–this is STILL one of the most fun bars in Cleveland. I love Gateway. It also reminds me of baseball season too much in this below-zero temperatures.
Saturday night was spent in a couple Ohio City locations: The Harp and the Bopstop. I haven’t gone out to listen to live jazz in YEARS! It was a first date of sorts. My company was great.
