I’ve been silently coveting a big silver watch. I have not worn a watch in over a year. One of my favorite Ann Kleins I left at some guy’s apartment. All the batteries in my other five or sex are dead. Yes, I have even worn one for “fashion” and totally not time. Typical. Useless. The last is… ew. Gold.
So, I’ve been looking around for a piece that is completely overstated — much like the giant purses I carry. I need something timeless (heh), somewhat trendy and that will match well with the granola-chic style thang I rock. Man, I sound like a sappy jewelry commercial bull-horned at a hippie festival or something.
Anywhodoodie, the majority of my watch favoritism has been for Guess? and Anne Klein II, as both brands seem to be in tune with my fashion (common) sense and my debit card. I’m fairly certain that I discovered Michele Watches in Glamour (now happily defunct in my subscription list) or Vogue (way over my head and salary for EVERYTHING within its pages). Young Hollywood, blah, blah, blah… Oh, lookie, I was right — Web site says the watch was featured in BOTH. Michele Watches capture a design philosophy fusing elegance with contemporary fashion. And the watches were all big and stuff.
And then I realized I do NOT have $2,000 for a watch.
Well, whatever you do, do NOT place any of the Tropical watches on your Christmas wish lists. *shudder*
Man, I suck at shopping. I should just drop the watches I own off at the jewelry counter already.
