The last two nights have been wonderfully good-hearted and spirited.
Thanks to a charity beauty event hosted by blogger pal All Lacquered Up, a few of us friends and bloggers were able to contribute to a good cause — all in the name of discounted beauty products. Our event raised over $700 for Dress for Success. Much awesomeness. More on my cool schwag in my next post.
This blogger world is such a fantastical place. Watching a group of online peers get together to promote last night’s Blog it Forward (for Anissa), hosted by Chef’s Widow and The Greenhouse Tavern was amazing.
Read her story here. Sadness.
While I didn’t get the opportunity to meet a lot of newbies or talk to many twitterers or salivate over those whom I stalk (blame it on me sucking down another awesome plateful of chicken wings and pommes frites… om nom nom, and that I had a pre-planned “date” arranged for the evening), there was a huge showing from our local blogging community. And, ahem… one Michael Symon.
Yes. THAT Michael Symon. He is so cute and giggly; he cracked my shit up. And he touched my head. I’m never washing that hat again. Ahem. Moving on…
I can’t wait to hear how much we raised to send to Anissa’s family.
And in that, I raise another glass of Glog to you, awesome Cleveland bloggers!
What are you doing for someone else this season?

I am so bummed that I had other plans for last night as I would have loved to have been able to make the Blog it Forward event. And now I am totally jealous that Michael Symon touched you. Can I touch the hat that he touched?

Oh, God, I love Michael Symon. And Lola. And Lolita. And every episode of “Iron Chef” he’s ever been on. Cleveland, I need you…
