Sunny Arizona – Part 5 of the Series

Sunday was my niece’s 1st birthday at Surprise Park. That’s the Royals/Rangers Spring Training home in the background. {pic removed}

What a beautiful day! Had the boy I met in Scottsdale call me in the middle of the day asking to see me before he left for home. I will not reveal which one he was. So, I spent the latter part of the afternoon with him. Then spent the rest of the day with my family. Did I mention how nice it is to actually have a vacation and relax?

I crashed out fairly early with Grey’s Anatomy and a huge piece (or two) of chocolate birthday cake.

I made the suggestion to see the Desert Botanical Gardens for Monday afternoon. (My sister took the day off). They also had a butterfly exhibit, similar to the one Cleveland Zoo has every spring.

Cactus everywhere. It was so nice to be outside even if the weather was already close to melting me.

That night my sister surprised me with a Sonic Strawberry Slushie-drink-thing. I see these stupid commercials every day and crave something yummy such as the slushie or that equally tasty S’mores milkshakey thing… and I still have yet to find a Sonic in Cleveland.
