Shoe porn: new city boots & excuses to wear them

There’s a whole city out there that I have yet to explore in full — and all I’ve got on my to-do list is (finally) mailing back a Christmas return at the dreaded post office and a mission to CVS for a new brush (anti-static, please) and tampons. And maybe kicking an Planned Parenthood picketer on my way. All kinds of party- girl excitement on this end, I KNOW.

These boots get me around nicely (and thankfully, comfortably). And make me want to wear dresses (as I did because hello, 45 degrees!). With tights of course.

I AM kind of excited, however, about the opening of Winghart’s Burger & Whiskey Bar in Market Square. AB & I are definitely going to check that out this weekend, as well as the World of Wheels at the Convention Center. Have to show some love to my future team, the SCDD. And maybe hit on Letang when my boyfriend isn’t looking (or distracted by derby girls).

This weekend will be LOADS of fun as my (ahem, Jets-fan) soul mate friend is coming in from Jersey to play. I know that I said that I was giving up alcohol for 30 days, but folks… I might have to cheat a bit for this (inevitable) Steelers win. Last week was tough enough to withhold myself, what with all the celebratory beer and wine both at home AND the casino (I drank freaking root beer). I mean, on Saturday it will be 21 days — three weeks is a LONG commitment, all things considered. And I’ve achieved the ultimate goal, which was to get my head in the game and work out at least three times a week (done!).
