Private Eyes are Watching You

I noticed I’m getting a LOT of search terms for this topic through my old page, and thought I should post it here…

Tips, Tricks, and Shit to Watch For…
1. If he lies about something small, he lies about something large.
2. If she’s JUST a friend, he should have no probs introducing the two of you.
3. If he doesn’t answer the cell phone in front of you — it’s another chick — and he doesn’t want you to know.
4. Guys like to hide numbers in strange locales: behind picture frames on walls, in between pages of
random books, stored under random guys numbers in their cell phones (check to see if there’s a CHRIS: could mean ChrisTINE, if you catch my drift).
5. Be sure to check under car seats, and in the glove box for certain “novelty” items: condoms (you may not use), directions (to someone’s residence you don’t know) or movie times.
6. If there’s a random number posted on, say, a fridge, without a name marking on it, HE knows who’s number it is, but doesn’t want YOU to know!
7. If he ever makes a remark to another girl in reference to his roommate (ex: that’s my roommate’s new girlfriend’s number), it’s NOT!
8. If he ever goes somewhere – let’s give the example of a restaurant — and he doesn’t answer his phone, he’s with someone else. (Exceptions to the rule: bars — you can’t hear phones, movie theaters — can’t USE your phone). Be wary of these situations if you do have reason to suspect.
9. If he’s going on an ALL-MALE bachelors-type trip/vacation, you better believe if he’s the only
attached guy there, that the most pressure is put on him to get laid. So either deal with the fact he’ll cheat on you from afar, or break up with him before he leaves. Either way, he’ll go, and get some ass.
10. Don’t ever let a guy cheating on you ruin your self-confidence. Chances are pretty good that’s she’s ugly — or that he’s had to subject himself to paying for it.

wow this is like a jealous girlfriend’s paranoid tips. i have done many of these things while never ever cheating on any one of my girlfriends. i frequently answer calls in another room because its rude to have a conversation in front of someone. same could be said about dinner, and at a bar i will always be checking my phone. honestly its okay to be suspicious, but invading his personal privacy is much more clearly showing your lack of trust (which relationships are built on) in him. the only thing you should take away from this is number 10. and to be fair its mainly the first part.

These were all incidents that ACTUALLY happened during one of my former relationships. Was just passing on the “clues” that I wished I paid attention to…

Then again, I wrote this in 2003(!!), so it’s all kinds of ridiculous to me now. :)
