My LLL* don’t work for beads!

logo

I dug into the costume box to supply my friends with our own beads, so no one was needlessly aiming breast-eses at shady men. Yeah, so I have Mardi Gras beads from 2000… and? So what if half my friends weren’t even old enough to drink then. We hung locally at Around the Corner in Lakewood for our monthly-ritual-night-with-2 Skinny Dorks (read: $5 pitchers and something-cent wing specials). There was nothing but cajun special on the menu for this particular Tuesday (and some freaky tiki-god mug with too many combinations of liquor), which ended in extreme disappointment for the fans. (I had beer and wings anyways).

Uh, thanks for the free popcorn? It was considerably tame in comparison to former Fat Tuesdays. After recovering from the weekend, it was a welcome experience to be in bed before midnight… on a Tuesday.

So, what did I give up for Lent? (Last year it was Jack — with a fabulous “Welcome Back, Jack!” party to boot).

In email from Boston Trooper: Im giving up alot of things… Brussel sprouts, green socks, over alls, cowboy hats, taking the stairs, and hop scotch. What are you giving up?

Mel: Funny you should mention it, I gave up tequila, Lysol, grandma panties, men’s nudie rags, and fishing. Lysol will be the hardest… you know, that whole germ-a-phobe thing.

And speaking of FAT(!!), the following was included for my information on my lunch package:

The natural antioxidants found in tea and certain fruits like berries and grapes can also be found in Hershey’s Special Dark chocolate. This is good news; however, like most indulgent treats, Hershey’s Special Dark chocolate should be enjoyed in moderation. A serving of Hershey’s Special Dark chocolate is 1 bar and has 220 calories and 12 g of fat.
(Pssst! Two-for-a-buck at Walgreen’s).

And to end in something completely random… driving during lunch hour I hear “Little Pig, Little Pig” — was that by Green Jelly? I forgot all about this song, totally rocks — and perfect theme song to enjoy with my wednesday over-eating compulsion craving.
