My fridge, my personality.

Alexa from Cleveland’s a Plum has a guest writing entry over at Stylish Handwriting about what is on a blogger’s refridgerator.

Here’s the freezer door: (and say hello to Poncho!)

Not so cluttered!

Let’s start from the sunflower magnet (sent from my friend Lori who knows I love sunflowers). That magnet is holding up my list of 43 Cleveland+ as I search for things to do, as to not succumb to boredom. I also have a circled reminder that Lolly the Trolley will be doing tours next Saturday during River Fest in Rocky River. Then, a quote that was featured in Plain Dealer’s PDQ section years ago. I find it hilarious for some reason. Then I have my niece and her little boyfriend on Valentine’s Day — isn’t she cute? Another magnet from a different friend that states “I (heart) me” (Well, of course). Then, there’s a photo of my youngest sister and I dancing to Thriller at Pure in Las Vegas, next to one with my Irish twin sister (OK, we’re 13 months apart) and I on my 27th birthday — my sister doesn’t drink, so it’s funny to see a picture with her and a beer bottle. Then one of my besties and I tailgating at the Buckeyes game. Above that pic, is a card she sent me a few years ago during a rough patch with the “Do one thing every day that scares you” quote. I need a reminder sometimes. And there’s another card from her on top of my fridge. She’s an inspirational friend. She always finds the right words.

The last photo is another sisters’ shot with us all dressed up during Halloween in Vegas a couple years ago. It was an amazing vacation for the four of us — something I always want to remember. But check out those cute magnets, eh? I made them because I’m crafty and I was tired of those insurance/pizza magnets being all bland in my white kitchen.

Here’s the fridge door (When I recently placed my condo on the market, I took some things down — I need to find some of the funny comic strips I had up there):

I have a “thank you” card from my friend in Chicago for her wedding gift — I really wish I could have attended her wedding in Mexico. In the middle is a postcard that says “Make your own damn dinner!” Point taken. The photo on the right is the Hop on Pop Ice Cream Shop in Universal Studios. I need a frame to add this to my vacation wall.

The side of the fridge is equally as important:

More magnets that I need to create, once I feel crafty (or bored). I have my grocery list up there (I should probably write in huge letters “Do Not Fear The Grocery Hottie!”). And last but not least, my 2008-2009 travel brochure from Gate1 Travel. I intend to go to Budapest next year and this keeps my budget in check. It reminds me every night why I’m cooking at home and not ordering out again.

What do you think my fridge says about my personality?
