Is it really all about timing?

I missed him by 5 minutes.

Truth is, I don’t know what I would’ve done/said/yelled/thrown. I’ve been in these sort of situations before. I just wish I would be the one confronted already.

Sadly enough, his reign in Cleveland is over, and I’ve been thinking about it constantly. No more chance meetings throughout the Cleveland bars, no more thoughts of “maybe-tonight-I’ll-run-into-him,” no more baseball. I think the reality of the break-up will hit me this week knowing that now he really is gone.

I did run into Okie (as in, from Oklahoma) again last night. His personality was different than previous dates, but this wasn’t really a date, so he must have been in relaxed (read: nervous running into me) guy mode. He was the person to let me know I “missed him by 5 minutes.” Ironic. Okie is now leaving too.

Is it strange that my current life seems to revolve around three-month cycles? Three months I dated this guy and it has been three months since I’ve seen him. Now I’m moving in 3 months.

Three months is nowhere near the eternity I imagined.
