I’ll take the mulligan.

No surprise, I added another fun weekend to my summer “to-done” list; however, there are some things I would do over.

Saturday, I must have rode about 30 miles on my bike. I left my place around 2:30, to take off for Walk+Roll Lakewood. I didn’t realize activities started at 4. Odd time. I definitely would have lounged around for another hour, had I known, but I cut over through some Lakewood side streets (damn those shitty sidewalks) and spent some time relaxing at Lakewood Park.

Walk+Roll was pretty sweet. Not everyday they just shut down Detroit for all movers except cars. I hung out at Phoenix for an iced americano for a bit, checked out the new library and chatted with a few other bikers.

After a couple hours, I decided to take Belle back up to Lakewood Park again, to see if anything was going on up there (there wasn’t, as far as I could tell). At this time, my legs are starting to shake, and I still need to bike home. Over-biked it, just a bit.

I biked up Lake back into Rocky River and took a break at Mitchell’s ice cream. (Nobody can resist). Thinking healthy, I had a junior scoop of sugar-free/fat-free vanilla. I still had another 2.25 miles until home. I won’t lie, it was a tough ride.

When I arrived home, I wanted a nap more than anything, but it was already 6 p.m. I had to start getting ready for the birthday celebrations for a couple friends to take place at West Park Station at 8. Do over: I would have taken my nap.

The service was better this time at WPS. Although for everything that is in me on this Monday morning, I wish I would have skipped the salad that I ate. When I first started to digest it, I didn’t feel that well, but alcohol allowed me to ignore it. Sunday, I napped around and didn’t eat much, save for some french toast and cold pasta. While I am wretching and cramping at my desk Monday morning, I wish I definitely did NOT eat that salad. I cannot even tell you how horrible my stomach feels today. And I am nauseous beyond belief. And I am in a skirt and sitting in a fetal position in my desk chair.

So back to Saturday, it really was a blast. Punch the Clown was playing, so we did a little dancing. I met another Cleveland Blogger, Taawd. He is my new crush. Sorry, Taawd had to leave the party early, so there is no photographic evidence. Do over: Todd would have stayed and hung around for longer. But lucky him (or me?), he gets “the mulligan.”

Monday morning do over: I would like to go back to bed, please. I am pretty sure I am having an e-coli breakdown. Gross.

Afternoon update: I feel better. Here’s what helped: few cups of black coffee, giant container of water and macaroni salad. Who needs modern medicine. I am sooo ready for enchiladas tonight!

Aaaawwww… two Cleveland bloggers cross paths in the night. So sweet! Oh my, if you two got together, we’d have a regular “he said, she said” going on over the internet! I can’t wait! :-)
