AHHHHHHHH!! (just needed to let a little hot air out this afternoon).
I had an interesting lunch hour (or two) today. I met up with an ex in Coventry for a bite, and to talk. I felt it necessary to meet up with him since he really never had “closure” with me. I actually enjoyed myself. I believe it’s important to (finally) be friends with people you’ve previously dated. I hate having old boyfriends that talk smack behind me. He was the beginning of the karmic circle of how I treated him, and how L. came around to practically shit down my throat directly afterward. Lesson learned, ol’ wise one… lesson learned.
So, I’m headed to see my dad’s band play this evening and grab a good bite of Italian to eat (*tsk*) with some friends. I offered up for someone to join me this evening… he declined. Ah, dateless once again. I will be a great night out with the girls sans the great weather in Cleveland this glorious 20th day of August. ‘Scuse me, but did I miss the Dog Days somewhere?
Excited for the Browns’ game tomorrow (even though it’s pre-season). Let the tailgating commence!
Question: Why doesn’t anyone tailgate for baseball in Cleveland? Is it just the lack of a really cool
parking lot near The Jake? I know I’ve gone to tailgate parties in Pittsburgh for some Pirates’ games. Feh. Tomorrow is the last day of summer break for me. I may have mentioned this 8 billion times already, but it’s on my mind, and dammit, it’s sad. I already have to go to an “information session” tomorrow AM BEFORE the game for comm. class I’m taking online. Sucky!
One more bit that started the scream: I went on an interview yesterday for a p/t bartending job (mainly to supplement my current job, and something I could work on nights and weekends in order to save money for “the move”). Could you believe I waited for over an hour and the ass never showed up? Who operates a business this way?
