Guess where I’m going this weekend? Oh, you’ll never guess… Homecoming. Good thing you didn’t try to guess because you know we commuter Cleveland State students don’t do events like “homecoming.” So, obvs, it’s AB’s.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, another $300 month loan repayment just ka-chinged out of my checking account, reminding me of my former college years. I’m still another ten years (or plus if I consider another another six months of forbearance) from paying off that balance. *sigh* The hate rages. Does it ever become “manageable”? Or worth it, as far as I’m concerned. I swear I consider consolidated credit (here’s a debt consolidation guide for money management, credit card help, among other financial “aids” to help all 78% of you carrying at least $2,500 on your cards… for shame!) each time that payment deducts.
Thankfully I do not have a use for debt consolidation for my credit cards — although I could definitely use a better plan to pay back my student loans. Hello? Guvna? I’m happy that I have gone the route of Strictly Debt Card, while slooooowly paying off my credit balances (only $1400 to go — w00t! Being in my 30s, I’m almost out of that 32% having four cards or more). OMG, college years screwed me up, yo! If you’re college-aged, for the love of your mascot, do NOT get credit cards to live off while NOT working!
Even a couple years ago, heading back to school — having a moderately acceptable salary — it was extremely difficult to find the extra money for eighteen REQUIRED (bullshit) books.
In any event, Go Vikings! And take that fourth “required” reference guide with you.
