Our location for CBW Day #4 was the Stone Brewing Company beer dinner at Crop Bistro & Bar.

All I got is "Mmmmm!"
Bravo to Chef Steve and the guys from Stone. You really should NOT have missed this event!
I know I still have not posted on L’Albatros (also delicious), but Steve’s braised short ribs (at Crop) were the perfect consistency and texture I pray to Meat Gods for while fine dining. Oh, there was SO much food and beer — this was AB’s first visit to Crop too, and what a perfect early-birthday dinner extravaganza! The pairings were incredible (alas, no scallop for me, but I overloaded on the IPA while I waited). The smell and taste of maple from the duck confit (prepared as a turnover) demi glaze was out-of this world. Ahem, new take away recipe idea — MAPLE ON EVERYTHING FOR FALL! We even received a couple pint glasses with the Arrogant Bastard logo/label as a parting schwag with our dinner. It was such a very, very swanky and “private chef-ish” kind of night (and we made some new local dinner & bourbon friends).
And I learned how to like porters — with food. Not by themselves. The end.
PS: leftover Gingerbread cake is wonderful as a breakfast.
And there’s more beer where that came from. To be continued…
