I have another crazy story to tell. Shocker, right?
A couple Easters ago, my mom was out visiting my sister in Phoenix. When she returned, in an attempt to celebrate the holiday, albeit belated, she went out in search of candy for my two youngest brothers. She purchased these two large Willy Wonka Easter Eggs from an Ashtabula Walgreens or likewise. Inside one of the candy eggs, was a scratch-off ticket to “win a grand prize!” One brother got the usual “I’m sorry…” but the other revealed a “You won!” And yes, he won the GRAND FREAKIN’ PRIZE.
Which was, a vacation for four to anywhere in the world.
I’m not shitting you. My mom, step-dad and two youngest brothers leave tomorrow for London, then Amsterdam for a 10-day total vacation. (I think they got some spending cash too, but I’m not positive).
Anyway, I thought it was a really cool story to share with you, Internets. So next time you think nobody wins those silly games and prizes, they really do. Even if I’m still waiting for my opportunity to meet the Cap’n from Cap’n Crunch.

too freaking cool…. My ex once won us a trip to DC… so I fill out all those sweepstakes now.. someone’s gotta win.. why not me?
