As I mentioned in my previous post, All Lacquered Up invited a group of local bloggers over to “buy” her excess beauty products, thereby donating all the proceeds to Dress for Success Cleveland. Boy oh boy, did she have a lot of shit. My dream Christmas morning ensued… you know, without all that pesky wrapping paper
Here’s what I picked up:
- Murad (acne) concealer
- Murad (vitalic) t-zone pore refining gel **I become obsessed with Murad’s face products last year. The Resurgence line is amazing for my face (yes, I’m only in my early 30s, but this three-product combo makes my skin look wonderful).
- Exuviance - rejuvenating treatment **Never heard of this brand, so I’ll be testing results this weekend. I love peely face masks. Let’s hope it does something for these pores, baby.
- ModelCo - Tan airbrush in a can **Same as above — I’m a sucker for spray tans since giving up the bed a couple years ago. I’m a fan of Sally Hansen’s airbrush sun (especially for my face!), so I will be testing the color/streak/smell factor some time before vacation.
- AG split end serum **I recognized the label from AB’s bathroom collection. Since my hair gets super staticy with hats over winter, serums are good for taming. First couple days of use have been static-free.
- Aveda Green Science - perfecting cleanser **Giving another Aveda cleanser a chance. I always love the smells of its products, but have been left feeling mediocre about results. But, I needed a “morning shower” cleanser. I use Murad every night.
- CND spa manicure - almond hydrating lotion (for hands) **LOVE the smell of this lotion! Keeper.
- Qtica 1/2 time polish drying accelerator **First time using these drops to dry polish. Guinea pig.
- Sally Hansen nail polish (Black Orchid) **Upgrading my black nail polish.
- CND nail polish (Green Scene) **And who doesn’t need more GREEN nail polish? Right.
- MAC nail polish (Gold Veneer) **This is an awesome sauce polish. Color me gold this holiday!
- MAC nail polish (Shirelle) **Hot, hot red!
- Zoya nail polish (Celine) **Like I needed another plum for my collection. I like how quickly Zoya dries; I am one impatient sunnamabitch.
- Sephora eyeshadow (Preppy Look N°41)
- MUD eye color (Tinsel) **SILVER!!
- Avon smooth mineral eyeshadow (Pixie Dust) **BLUE!!
- MAC eye shadow X 4 (In the Gallery) **OMG. I love all four colors in this set. LOVE.
- MAC mineralize skinfinish natural **A little dark for my face, but will be good for blending over self-tanners and touching up streaky sprays.
- MAC zoom fast black lash
- MAC mineralize eyeshadow (Under Your Spell) **Got the gold duo shadow I wanted!!
- MAC eyeliner (Artistic License) **I LOVE blue eyeliner. But not like a Stuck-in-the-80s kinda way.
- Noir Ultra Rich black eye pencil **Who doesn’t need another fat black kohl liner? Duh.
- Estee Lauder - brow perfecting duo (Brunette) **I’ve been using pencils for years. THIS is probably my favorite of additions to my makeup collection ever. Mostly because, well, I have no eyebrows.
- Tracy Stern Salon Tea lip balm tea **My new daily chap stick! I switched to Burt’s Bees a couple years ago, but have been feeling flaky the last few months. Salon Tea kicked its ass. In, like, one day. Must be those green tea rose petals…
All this for $59. FIFTY-NINE dollars. One of those MAC eye shadows is around $20, and just the Murad t-zone gel is $40 — if that gives you an indicator of the savings. I am so excited and happy that ALU extended the invitation to me.
I’m not typically a big makeup whore, but after the Great Eye Stye of 2009, I had to throw out majority of my daily eye makeup (including my purse stash, since I use both daily. Ugh). Replacing it, obviously, was no problem at this event.
Thanks again, ALU!

Exuviance is a great brand - I’ve been using it for a couple of months and have had great results so far. It’s too reasonably priced! My favorite peely mask is from the Body Shop - the Vitamin C peel, which has worked wonders on my skin!

Great! I used it once so far, and my skin looked brighter, so I’ll have to add it into my regular routine to see what long-lasting results it presents.
I love the Body Shop. Too bad for it closing in our area.
