Apples to Apples

I am on a gross downward spiral of competitive clout on game night. Again, with Saturday night, I lost each round of Apples to Apples (this was my first experience with this fun card game). After a curbside pick-up of yummy Outback (Mmmmmm, tassies) and a few rum-and-cherry-cokes, eh, I was just a disaster at mastering the matches. I’ll tell you what I have mastered though, drinking a strawberry milkshake from UDF on hangover Sundays. Gets ‘em every time!

And without further attention or affection for my liver, I give unto thee my weekend picks:

Watching: "Once" - downloaded the entire album and I intend to purchase the DVD. What an amazing story and soundtrack! I was practically in tears listening to the scene with  "If You Want Me." Just… wow.
Also, "White Noise 2" - Baddddddd idea to watch so close to bedtime. The first didn’t seem so psychological freaky and devil-related to me, but almost heartwarming in comparison to its sequel.

Reading: Finished the "Anti 9-5 Guide" - I will start with the exercises this week.

Resolution Update: (I know, I still haven’t posted that piece yet, but I have the outline of "what I need to do this year" completed) Anyway, I uploaded Money to my laptop and have been logging my receipts and all incoming/outgoing funds. Too soon to tell where ELSE I could possibly cut my budget. Finished two 1,000+ word stories in the last two weeks. Joined SPJ and started a (new) linkedin profile. I carry a writing journal with me at all times when the creative mood strikes (yeah, for the ubiquitous large purses!).

Esteban hits a grand slam with: The soundtrack for "Once" and "Mahalageasca" by Mahala Bai Banda.
